Struggling with sleep

So I received some samples from the SuperHuman conference which I disappointly missed.

One sample was :

Somnidren GH  ( which claims to be:

“Sleep and Growth Hormone Potentiator”

In fact , I couldn’t even find “Potentiator” in the dictionary.   Bad sign.


While I have almost used Millenium’s ZMA.  This supplement definitely had some ingredients that sent my body spinning.  One problem I have right off the top is an overabundance of any one substance especially a B-Vitamin. B-Vitamins are generally related to the energy systems of the body and the last thing I want is HIGH energy at the end of the day.  I want CALM and RECOVERY.

Now granted Ben from Ben Greenfield Fitness took this supplement in conjunction with Natural Calm.  I still had the opposite intended effect.

Here are some of my favorite insomnia natural remedies and sleep supplements:

-400-500mg potassium citrate combined with 400-500mg Natural Calm magnesium (use this 30-60 minutes prior to bed, and back off if you get loose stool!). If magnesium upsets your stomach, listen to this podcast about which magnesium is best.

-2-3 tablespoons MCT Oil or coconut oil 30-60 minutes prior to bed. This works well if appetite cravings keep you awake, but you don’t want an insulin spike from carbohydrates or protein.

MillenniumSports Somnidren GH (can be very effective, but you must use this on an empty stomach, 30-60 minutes prior to bed, and you have to cycle it as 5 days on, 2 days off so you stay sensitive to it).”
I was restless. Stomach was sour. Strange mental effects and random thoughts without focused tuned mind.

In conclusion, at the first test, I would say Somndren GH is definitely on my list of Sleep Protocol.
